Sandwell Engineering (CA)
Sandwell is a leading engineering contractor in bulk materials handling, ports & marine, rail, power, petroleum, industrial process, manufacturing and general building, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that enable clients to build and maintain competitive advantage. PUNCH Consulting Engineers recently provided a Marine Engineering team to support Sandwell on the $2.15 billion Rio Tinto Corumbá Iron Core Expansion Project. PUNCH also provided the design for the Barge Unloading Berth in Agraciada, Uruguay.
PUNCH Consulting Engineers have a long term relationship with Mouchel, covering a portfolio of environmental as well as roads/traffic projects. These have included the remediation of the gasworks site at Sir John Rogerson's Quay in Dublin, the cross border Newry-Dundalk motorway scheme, as well as other commissions on the M4/M6 and M17 motorways. We are also an approved consultant for the National Roads Authority 'Eirspan' bridge inspection and assessment programme.
HR Wallingford (UK)
HR Wallingford provides world-leading analysis, advice and support in engineering and environmental hydraulics, and in the management of water and the water environment. PUNCH Consulting Engineers has worked together with HRW for over 15 years on a range of projects. This collaboration began when HRW supported PUNCH on the development of the west jetty in Foynes Port, Co. Limerick. Currently, both companies are working together on the redevelopment of Cill Rónáin Harbour, Inis Mhór, Co. Galway, where PUNCH is providing a full engineering and management service to Galway County Council for the construction of the new harbour.
Ashton Smith Associates (UK)
In recognition of the added value that an efficient supply chain can bring to a business, PUNCH Consulting Engineers began working with the specialist logistics design firm, Ashton Smith Associates (ASA) in the 1990’s. ASA are leaders in this specialised field which requires a close integration between logistics and engineering solutions. Services have been provided through this collaboration in Ireland, the UK, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. PUNCH have generated a high level of repeat business with leading global companies that rely on efficient distribution to add value to their business.
Technosoft is an international engineering & IT services company which is based in India. They provide design and detailing services for concrete and steel. PUNCH have successfully carried out a number of projects with Technosoft. Our collaboration allows us to engage additional drafting capacity from a proven and trusted source at short notice, which enhances our ability to respond quickly to project deadlines.
Dar Engineering (Saudi Arabia)
In the largest market in the Middle East - Saudi Arabia – PUNCH, through TPE Consulting Engineers, are collaborating with the leading firm of consulting engineers, Dar Engineering, to provide full engineering services on projects in the Kingdom. Initially concentrating on the fields of education and healthcare, PUNCH are now actively involved in a wide range of projects in the region. We believe that all collaborations need to have a benefit for all parties involved so PUNCH have a commitment to knowledge transfer with all of our partners.
WSP Group (LC Engineers and Consultants South Africa)
Following an Irish Trade Mission to South Africa PUNCH Consulting Engineers were approached in early 2000 by an Irish contact of South African Consulting Engineering firm, LC Consulting to discuss the possibility of collaboration. LC was led by UCC graduate Denis Mullane whom we met with and agreed to work with on the structural design for the award-winning Limerick Main Drainage project. This joint collaboration was continued on another award-winning project, Aras Chill Dara, for Kildare County Council. During 2007 LC Consulting was acquired by UK multi-disciplinary consultant, WSP and Denis relocated to the Middle East. In 2010 we completed a joint proposal with WSP for a high rise Tower in the ME.
Coffey Geotechnics (IRL)
PUNCH Consulting Engineers have a long standing working relationship with Coffey Geotechnics, who are a specialist ground engineering consultancy. PUNCH Consulting Engineers understand that one of the greatest risks to our client is in the ground and through working with Coffey Geotechnics the combined specialists skills of both parties ensure success. Together our aim is to manage the risk in the ground and ensure ground engineering and substructure solutions are optimised and value engineered to provide cost effective solutions through technical excellence.
