Ronan joined the PUNCH Consulting Engineers Limerick office from college as a graduate in 1994, rising to project engineer level, and moving back to Dublin in 1999. He left in 2000 for Australia, returning in 2001. Ronan was promoted to Regional Director in 2005, and became a Director in 2007.

Ronan worked with Patterson Britton & Partners Pty in Sydney, Australia, as a marine structural engineer from 2000 to 2001.

Ronan is in charge of the CPD system in PUNCH Consulting Engineers, which he set up in 2005 and which was officially accredited by the Institution of Engineers of Ireland in 2006. He is chartered with both the Institution of Engineers of Ireland and the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Having started his career as a civil engineer, and then moving into structures, Ronan has a good knowledge of both areas of engineering. He has a particular interest in healthcare projects, having been involved in a number of hospitals and medical facilities in his career.

Ronan’s personal interests include rugby, soccer and tennis on the sports front, and travel, reading, art and music on the cultural side.
