Leonard joined PUNCH in 1994 as a Senior Engineer in Civil and Structures and was promoted to Regional Director in Civil Engineering in 2005. In 2010 Leonard joined Murnane & Partners Consulting Engineers at its formation as a Director and then re-joined PUNCH as a Technical Director in 2014 when PUNCH merged with Murnane & Partners.

Leonard is a Chartered Engineer and a member of Engineers Ireland. He has an honours civil engineering degree from University College Dublin, a diploma in highway & geotechnical engineering from Trinity College Dublin and is a member of the Engineers Ireland Pyrite Register of Chartered Engineers.

Leonard has a very broad based experience in both civil and structural projects from roads, drainage, flood assessment and infrastructure works to commercial, retail and residential; with particular expertise on the planning, design and construction of large scale residential projects such as Ballymun Regeneration.

Leonard’s experience includes working with both private, public sector and for Contractors on value engineering design reviews where his input saves time and money.

Leonard has a keen interest in all sports and enjoys playing golf and 5-a-side football. He is married with a young family of 3 which has led to being involved with his local GAA Club Ballyboden St Endas where he coaches at juvenile level.
