Robert Coughlan



Robert successfully completed his structural engineering degree in Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street in 2005. Robert also received the G&T Crampton Centenary Award for his work in the third year of his degree course in 2004.

Robert began his career with Downes Associates before moving to London with WSP Group. He joined PUNCH Consulting Engineers as a Senior Engineer in June 2013. Robert is a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland since 2011 and with the Institution of Structural Engineers since 2013.

Robert has extensive experience in planning, design, project management, co-ordination, and supervision of the construction of a range of projects. He has worked on prestigious projects in both Ireland and the UK, including the Redevelopment of London Bridge Station for WSP Group and Ten Earlsfort Terrace, Beacon South Quarter B2B and Distribution Centre, North Dublin for PUNCH Consulting Engineers.

Robert has been Training Manager for PUNCH Consulting Engineers Dublin office since 2014, where he responsible for the training needs of all staff and also ensuring all younger engineers gain the necessary experience required in obtaining Chartered Engineering status.

Robert is a keen sporting enthusiast where football plays a significant part in his life and is a long suffering Liverpool supporter. He is also a keen long distance marathon runner. Robert has a young son, Jackson, with his partner Katie and cherishes the time spent with them outside of work.
