PUNCH Consulting engineers have provided Civil, Structural and Traffic Engineering services to IADT on a variety of projects from large campus developments to small alterations and refurbishments in the original quadrangle building. At the forefront of our approach is the realisation that IADT is a live vibrant campus and all work is planned to minimise interruptions to college life and protect the safety of students, staff and the general public.
PUNCH Consulting Engineers have been working on a number of projects at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) in County Dublin over a number of years. This vibrant and fast developing campus is now home to 1650 students with further expansion planned. The schools of Business & Humanities, Creative Arts and Creative Technologies offer a wide range of opportunities to students, researchers and industry. Recent projects include the National Film School and the award winning Media Cube which houses the Institutes Business Incubation facility.
The Media Cube forms a new and modern announcement by IADT of their presence in the area. It is a four storey building with a high walled roof space incorporating both enclosed plant and an open area for presentation ideas. There is also a double height gallery area again for holding presentations and it is equipped with a separate canteen. The remaining rooms are divided into various sizes. The building is intended to act as a centre for the development of new digital media businesses. The business ideas will generally be followed through from initiatives during post-graduate studies.
