In addition to the full range of engineering services, PUNCH has developed extensive experience in Project Management. We offer this service through three different roles:
When a project is designed or constructed by third parties, PUNCH act as a representative for the client. Effectively, PUNCH monitors the progress of the project to ensure that the client’s interests are correctly represented. This service can be extended beyond the scope of the construction process, and include any necessary interfacing with commercial, legal, finance, letting or statutory parties. PUNCH has successfully acted as Client Representative on projects such as the A1/N1 Newry-Dundalk Road Scheme.
Although similar to the role of the Client Representative role, the key difference with this service is that PUNCH takes a much more hands on role in managing the day-to-day running of the project, the design team and the contractor. In this role, PUNCH is responsible for delivering the project to satisfy the client’s objectives on programme, budget, scope and quality.
This service involves PUNCH providing a fully integrated Project Management and Engineering Service, whereby we will assemble the necessary design team using in-house staff and where needed, industry specialists. The key advantages of this approach are that the client has only one point of contact, and that PUNCH is responsible for the full delivery of the project, through from conception to hand-over. PUNCH provided a fully integrated service to our client, Galway County Council, on the €40 million Cill Rónáin Harbour Development in the west of Ireland. We also provided fully integrated services on the €91 million Ballymun Regeneration Scheme in Dublin.
