Planning Granted for City Block 9

We are delighted to announce that planning permission for City Block 9 in the Dublin North Docklands has been granted.

PUNCH are the Civil, Structural and Transportation Engineers on this prestigious large-scale development in the heart of the docklands. The site is circa 1.88 hectares with separate commercial and residential  developments. The site is bounded by the River Liffey and the Luas Red Line which provided exciting engineering challenges for PUNCH and the design team as a whole.

The proposed commercial development shall provide 35,883m2 gross floor area of office and retail space between 4 separate buildings, ranging in height from 8 storeys to North Wall Quay, to 6 storeys to the interior of the block, as per the SDZ development parameters. The four blocks share a podium area, over a single storey basement.

The proposed residential development consists  of two residential blocks containing 420 no. dwellings, and 1526 m2 of commercial space at ground floor beneath the blocks. This ground floor commercial space includes retail space, tenant amenities and a crèche. The two residential blocks range in height from 11 storeys to North Wall Quay to 7 storeys to the interior of the development, over a combined single storey basement car park.

PUNCH look forward to working on the detailed design and delivering another fantastic development to an already hugely impressive area.
