PUNCH Participated in the Dragons at the Docks in Aid of the Dublin Simon Community

Punch Dragon Boat Team

PUNCH Consulting Engineers participated in the Dragons at the Docks in aid of the Dublin Simon Community, which took place on Thursday, 31st August 2017.

Organised by the Irish Property Industry which included our client IRES REIT, the event helped support the acquisition of two apartments as part of the Simon Capital Development Fund. Its overall goal is to procure 480 bed units within the next five years, helping up to 750 people move out of homelessness for good.

The event consisted of dragon boat racing in the Grand Canal Dock basin in Dublin 2, with teams of 12 representing their companies in a race to make it to the final and to become the winner of this fun-packed experience. As well as the race, there was live entertainment including music, a barbecue in HQ, and an oddly satisfying game of Dunk Your Boss.

PUNCH understands the growing issue of the homeless crisis in Ireland today, and as Engineers we strive to do our best in aiding the cause of charities like the Dublin Simon Community through the residential projects that we do.

Dragons at the Docks brought together companies with the same goal including our client IRES REIT and we showed a united front by raising significant funds for a reputable Irish charity.
