Two PUNCH Projects Collect Gongs at the Fit Out Awards 2016

PUNCH is delighted to announce the success of two of our projects at this year’s Fit Out Awards on Thursday, 3rd November at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Dublin. PUNCH provided Civil/Structural Engineering services on both projects.

The biggest winner of the night was Roscommon County Council Headquarters, which picked up both the award for Fit Out Project of the Year in the Public Sector and the award for Excellence in Sustainability.

Completed in 2015, the €14m project consisted of new office accommodation, new council chambers and facilities for elected members. The building achieved BREEAM Excellent Certification (BRE Environmental Assessment Method), which requires the adoption of all best practice sustainability principles and standards.

The second winner was the Dublin Port Diving Bell, which was awarded the Fit Out Project of the Year for Conservation. PUNCH was involved in the restoration of the Diving Bell, which was lifted off the ground to allow access underneath it. A visitor centre is now located in the access area, which provides information on how it was used in the developed of the city’s quay walls.

PUNCH is delighted to have played our part in helping to make these projects the awarding winning successes they have become.
